This year we will celebrate the Vigil of Easter for the first time at Peace (11:15 pm on Saturday, April 4th).  This ancient service is filled with rich imagery – a newly kindled fire, the paschal candle, gradually growing light through the service, Baptismal imagery and emphasis – even the time of day – a service leads up to and ends after midnight with the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.  At our March 29th Bible Class (Palm Sunday) we will look at the history and background of this service.  While not necessary to attend this Bible Class to attend the service, you may find it very helpful and enriching.  And if you’re not a night owl and won’t be attending the Vigil, you can still come to this class to get an idea of what it is about.

Join us Sunday, March 29nd at 9:20 am in the worship space.
